thank you!! i had a lot of fun, i haven't really done bigger pixel illustrations before
Oooo I really like the way this looks! I love the monochrome color scheme and the whole vibe is super chill too! I also like how it's clear there's some kind of story behind what's happening, but it's not explained. It leaves it open to intrigue and interpretation by the viewer!
Aww thank you! I'm glad the feeling of the scene came across well. And I did have a lot of fun with the palette, working in limited color is a lot of fun
Oh definitely! Something about that style just has so much charm! It's reminiscent of the Gameboy kinda, which I adore the aesthetics of, although this palette is much prettier!
Oh yea, it's absolutely borrowed from the Gameboy aesthetic - those colors are actually one of the alternate palettes from Void Stranger (and trying out this style was definitely inspired from playing Void Stranger as well as some other artists, hah). I'm a big fan of the pink & purple!
I think you did a really good job! As mentioned I love the GB aesthetic! ? unsurprisingly, considering) Trying to put as much detail as you you can using only 3-4 is such a fun and interesting art challenge!
Also I've seen you post about Void Stranger a lot. Looks interesting, I should really give it a go sometime
It's definitely a super unique game, and very pretty... I really did like it! if you dig LOTS of sokoban puzzles and secrets and anime it may be up your alley. One of these days I'll sit my butt down and write about it
