I've still got some lingering weird reservations about Cohost - and to be fair, about anything new that I'm exposed to, so don't feel as though it's specific to Cohost at all - but I'm coming around to really liking the posting experience, and the general ambience as well.
The way in which folks kinda just... stumble into one another, latch on to a joke or two, and seem to look one another up and down and say, "You know what? That was funny, and you're not a complete arsehole. Just let me know if you're gonna show me something gross and we'll get along fine."
I can't think how else to describe it except as similar to a workplace pub quiz night. I think I might even have mentioned it before - I've posted here quite drunk in the past, and those moments of genius are as quickly forgotten since I don't bloody well tag things. But workplace chums, folks you can joke around with and who generally mean one another well - that's the vibe I get. Some you know better outside of 'work,' and some are cool to rark up at the water cooler about how much you liked/disliked the latest episode of Thing, but all in all it's a pleasant place to be.
