It is remarkably difficult to actually capture that 'mustard yellow not gold but not brown' colour of the TOS Command Division shirts in miniature. That's without going into that tale of the shirts supposedly being lime green 'but showing up yellow under cameras.' Oh yeah? Then how come promotional stills were shot with different cameras and lighting and still looked yellow?
... 3 parts Tan Yellow and 1 part Beige from Vallejo seems to be pretty close, if that helps.
There's a few bits I want to clean up, add a couple glazes to the skin to get a little more variation in tone there, and to highlight the phaser and equipment - including basing him, of course.
The sculpting on the Enterprise delta badge is... annoying, to say the least. The raised edges of the badge and the starburst in its center mean that it's painted white and after a shade it collects so much around those recesses that I've got to practically repaint the thing. But I'll live, I'm sure. It's the same with the inch-thick braiding around his wrists; I'd sooner there were nothing there than the overwrought, chunky sculpting for those details that I could paint on instead but oh well!
For the base I'm thinking that classic 'Paramount Parking Lot' finish.
