Today I learned about this wonderful little gizmo and I am immediately overcome by the love emotion. Look at this! The name Voiturette - 'little cart' - would be used for five versions of what would come to be eight total variations on Renault's first produced automobile. This one here, the Type B, was capable of speeds up to 32kph. A fair clip in those days!
Look at this Looney Tunes-ass lookin' bug are you kidding me.
Edit: It's fascinating to me that we see from Renault both the Type B here, which was the first 'three box' configuration automobile with engine, passenger compartment and cargo space in three separate enclosures, making the world's first saloon, as well as the Renault FT tank which was the first to house its main armament in a rotating turret mounted centrally to the vehicle, cementing tank design for the next century.
