My situation is kind of a refraction of that? where I'm used to having companions who will roll with my efforts to make a spectacle of myself in public (or participate!), but now if I try to do something like that, I'm going to be doing it on my own because my partner is way too self-conscious to go along
(There's this bit I've been DYING to do, where I pretend to trip and roll all the way down the escalator at the front of the mall, but if there's no moral support there...)
(If I were near enough to be an accomplice, you'd have someone standing at the top of the escalator going "Ooh! Oofh! Aah... ohhh!" all the way down.)
