It wasn't until both @doctorwednesday and Johnny Knoxville were trying to convince me that a whole-ass field of doohickeys charged admission that I went looking it up, and hhholy shit.
π I say lots of heck words and post questionable smut. Stick around if that's your thing, but if you're below legal age to view such things in your jurisdiction, kindly go someplace else.
π Bob Semple was right.

Related, I was (ahem) so sick, every time friends or family wanted to go to this nonsense. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventureland_(New_York)#Accidents
The spinning swings in the top picture? They hang over the parking lot, meaning that it's a minor miracle that the accidents section (a) starts as late as it does, and (b) is limited to the park itself and not people getting crushed by a flying chair while they try to park.
Hhhhoooly shit. So sick. I can imagine! Just, wow. The profusions; projectile!
My own local death trap waterpark harmed quite a few people. They had to close early this year due to having their permit put on hold. They couldnt prove they do any safety training when put on the spot. As it stands they get to reopen once they fix the issues the state found and submit a self-inspection plan. They could just lie about this. They have to self report and the state doesn't do any regular checks. The park only has to show maintenance records if requested of them and the county doesn't have enough inspectors. Hasn't for years and there's currently a hiring freeze.
