cohost had its problems, a lot of which i feel stemmed from community infighting, but this was a good space that was trying its best. will genuinely really fuckin miss it here. this is the only place aside from Twitter/X (answers to both) where i talk and people interact and reply. bluesky is libertarian and FBPE hell, and it's fucking dead. my last post that really took off on here was my "useful software" post, and one bit of software that came up was RetroShare, which can be used to basically create your own peer-to-peer social media network. serverless social media.. food for thought for those of you unsure where else to turn to โค๏ธ

will miss you all and the community we built here. it's was flawed and i had my qualms (who didn't?!) but it was leaps and bounds ahead of everything else. we gave it a bloody good go didn't we? the security of knowing you were posting on a platform where the owners weren't trying to screw you over was nice. (i know mastodon also has that but ive heard too many tales of mastodon infighting that i'm bloody well steering clear thanks)
