A couple of the people I really admired (and still do) from the early days of the rust project, who have dropped out of more actively public communication (often after burnout or other conflict), have started showing back up to share their thoughts. Sometimes on Rust, sometimes on other topics.

It has honestly been really good to hear their voices again. Rust has been such an interesting confluence point over the years of the right people at the right time. It hasn't always been positive, but I still carry a ton of admiration and respect for so many people I've interacted and even often met over the years.

Don't remember their last name, but there is at least one early Rust dev that's de-facto banned from the project who shows up on Twitter threads to start shit about Rust.

Thankfully, there seems to be a support network in place whenever they show up in threads/take on a new alias.
