i really like k-on but i always felt like it wasnt super representative of my experiences as a girl who was in a band with her friends in high school, so when i was bocchi the rock billed as "k-on but with social anxiety" i was pretty enticed.
and it's good! i kinda lied about how exactly it was pitched online 'cause the other main draw was the really good animated gags where bocchi goes Abstract, and those are really funny. i'm only 1 episode in so i have yet to see if their band is actually Good (one of my main disconnects with k-on was that their band was just a little too good to be really representative of anything i experienced), but it's a pretty cute show.
