apparently they're doing a whole album which is Great news for me 'cause hiding places is one of my all time favorites! really big fan of this track, especially the Samuel T. Herring hook and the saxophones on the instrumental.

last week @christina sent me the EP this song is from and it's really really good! and today i did a lot of walking and driving around in 80 degree weather so this was a pretty good album for the occasion now that its starting to feel like summer.....
found out about it from rap ferreira's instagram, it's rlly good! i really like the fat tony verse at the end too
for whatever reason i Always mistype that as "scaring the house" at first??? whatever. anyways i really liked this album (as i was expecting to!) and i guess i can kinda get onto the ground floor here and say some shit about it before everyone else has. i love peggy's kind of weird use of jazz instrumentals on songs like SCARING THE HOES, Jack Harlow Combo Meal, and HOE (Heaven on Earth), especially the moment on that last one where he briefly bursts out into a sung melody out of nowhere. and a lot of the stuff on this album comes out of nowhere - it's a JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown project, so of course you're expecting chaos, but that doesn't make it any less chaotic. i also really enjoy Danny's verses on the album, and i wish they didn't feel so buried sometimes (although they're produced and mixed perfectly at other points, like Garbage Pale Kids). i thiiiink my favorite tracks from this album just off the first listen are Garbage Pale Kids, Fentanyl Tester, and Jack Harlow Combo Meal, but there were a lot of really good ones and at most maybe 1 or 2 that i was unimpressed with (i didn't really latch onto God Loves You, although of course that may change over the next few listens). with spring upon us and summer not too far away, i think we've started getting this year's crop of standout albums (i'm hoping for a Tyler, The Creator project this year and it would be kind of weird if we didn't get one given how much he sticks to his schedule) and this one is definitely my favorite album of 2023 so far.
