i keep meaning to rewatch parts of ep5 because i have forgotten the timeline of events leading to Lutz's coup. iirc it's something like:
- Luther and Hariette's mother passes away
- Luther attempts to contact the origin of the universe, leading to Hariette's death & "resurrection."
- This part is where my memory gets fuzzy...I know Luther is stripped of his status as crown prince, but I forget if it's his father who does it, or Lutz, or his father on Lutz's recommendation. i do remember Luther agrees with the action and is relieved he's no longer obligated to fulfill his role as royalty.
- The king dies and Lutz takes over Cuento, using Luther's disgrace as justification for doing so.
Luther/Varuna stuff b/c i'm predictable
trying to work out a timeline for Luther & Varuna's relationship. headcanon is that it starts soon after Hariette's resurrection, with Luther continuing unethical and dangerous experimentation in hopes of reversing whatever happened in the underground lab and Varuna assisting him in hiding his actions from both the people of Cuento and Hariette herself. & after Luther loses his title they grow more affectionate b/c there's no pressure for Luther to get married and produce an heir or anything.
also want to write something w/ Luther remembering Varuna/the Photoner era in that week before becoming a Falz...i started a piece on that ages ago but lost enthusiasm b/c i can't think of a decent end point. :(
