okay, i haven't been able to do as much fandom stuff as i'd like in the past two weeks. BUT i have been working on writing something for my personal crackship, b/c omg I'm so thirsty for it even if no one else is ToT so here's a very short bit of what i've been working on ^^

Some context: This is set during NGS--I'm still working on the details, but the general idea is that all the major characters from PSO2 end up on Halpha soon after the Guardian; they suffer the same memory loss for the most part, but have one or two vivid memories and subconsciously access some skills they had in their previous "life."

...and not that anyone knows, but this is separate from the "Varuna never gets over Shiva and Mitra dying and eventually tracks the Guardian to Halpha for revenge" idea that I keep meaning to write for RP purposes...I have too many ideas and not enough time or motivation to write them out đź«

“Varuna, yes?” Casra finished. Varuna raised his eyebrows. “I’m sorry, your reputation precedes you. There aren’t many who risk taking on the Gigantix solo, let alone excel at it.”

Varuna huffed. Of course, he should have realized word of his combat capabilities would spread, but the idea still left him unsettled.

(who am i? the harbinger of the annihilation, ARKS.)

“Not one for accolades, are you?” Casra said, the smile on his face growing gentle. “Understandable. The difference between the real you and the hero people make of you often complicates matters.”

“Something like that,” Varuna said, though ARKS hailing him as a hero was the least of his worries. Casra’s assumption gave him a useful deflection for the future, at least. He eyed the screens still floating between them. “Am I interrupting your work? I can find another place to stay…”

Casra’s expression grew thoughtful. “Hmm…I did come here to conduct my studies in peace. However, there’s more than enough room for both of us to use this space without issue. Moreover, your Gigantix encounter has inadvertently made you a subject of my observations–if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask a few questions.”

Varuna stiffened. Of course, being observed was hardly new or even unusual for anyone on Halpha; in fact, he was certain his fight with the Fortos Launcher was already being analyzed by ARKS’ Research division. But the idea of explaining his methods to an ARKS member directly…

“Let me clarify, that was a request, not an order, nor a condition for staying here," Casra hastened to add, nothing Varuna's hesitation. "I merely felt it important to let you know I monitored your battle and will make use of the data it provided. There are enough secrets on Halpha as it is–I see no need to hold onto this one.”
