half the schools in the district lost power in the storm system passing through. we only had 3 kids show up in our class. it was an early release day, so we were in school for a total of 3 hours, most of which was spent letting the kids do whatever they wanted (which was watch sing-a-long videos and take walks around the school.)
well, it's good we were able to pass out lunches to the kids who did show up and provide a few hours of daycare for overburdened parents, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. but also i listened to Baby Shark remixes for a full hour so i'm still pretty salty about having to go in.
