on one hand, I'd love to make, like, an elaborate storyline involving my characters through a series of small videogames (with GB Studio and/or RPG Maker), but on the other hand, sometimes I just feel, like, but what if something more like the classic Castlevanias or the NES Zelda games where it's just "here's kind of a shallow excuse plot to give at least some meaning to what you do, have fun and let your gameplay tell the story"
or wait, no, I think I'd rather follow the look and feel of Gameboy and Gameboy Color games over the NES, because I really dig the vibe of these games! It feels very cozy to me!
like, currently I really like to imagine my characters Jaryl (the hyena) and Jin (the dragon) in a GB(C) Zelda-style action adventure, for instance, and it would be like a charmingly retro thing where the story is probably just gonna amount to "hey, this tower seems weird and makes the monsters in the area go mad, go explore and check it out!", because that's the kinda stuff I'm vibing with rn
