these are probably my favorite games on the GameCube, tbh

they are:

• The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (also on Wii U)
• Metroid Prime (also on Switch)
• Luigi's Mansion (also on 3DS)
• Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
• F-Zero GX
• Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

So back in 2021 (which I can't call "last year" anymore, sheesh) I made a thread about me playing through Wind Waker HD again for the first time in ages, and I ended up rediscovering how much I still really enjoy that game.

And then towards the end of April 2022 I got myself a GameCube and a Player's Choice copy of the GC version of Wind Waker, so I ended up making another thread playing through that version. I'm still not done with it yet, because I keep getting distracted with other stuff, but it's also been way too long since I played the original version of Wind Waker, and it's interesting to see all the things the HD version changed and improved. I really miss just having the Wind Waker, Cannon and Crane on the D-Pad while you're sailing, and having the Sail just be on the A button when you're on the boat.
