I've seen a bunch of people say that Metroid Prime Remastered is the prettiest game on the Switch, and while I'm not sure I'd go that far, I do still think that it is a looker!

Artstyle-wise, I think I do still prefer other games on the Switch like the Zelda BotW Trilogy (aka Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom), Mario Odyssey, and the Zelda Link's Awakening & Advance Wars 1+2 Remakes (I love that "small plastic figurines" aesthetic!!!!)

But there's certainly no denying that Retro Studios did an amazing job with taking the visuals of the GameCube version (which at the time were really impressive, and even nowadays they still hold up pretty well!), and giving it a thorough facelift!

kinda wanna continue with my Metroid Prime 2 replay on the Prime Trilogy, but also, what if they remastered that one next

but also, what if I replayed the Metroid Prime 1 Remaster again? The Runaway Guys' (currently on-going) playthrough of the remaster is certainly making me want to play it again.

so as some of you may know, Nintendo decided to shadowdrop a remaster of Metroid Prime 1 just out of fucking nowhere last week, and I like Metroid Prime 1 a lot (it's one of my favorite GameCube games), so I just had to get it immediately, lmao.

And I beat it on saturday!

It's a really fucking good remaster, I think! It looks REALLY good (and the OG version on GameCube was already a looker!), and the twin-sticks fps controls felt like a natural addition! (even though I kept pushing the wrong buttons because I rarely, if ever, play any shooters)

so now I'm wondering if Metroid Prime 2 and 3 will also get the remaster treatment at some point. I would definitely appreciate it, personally!
