ive noticed my camera app has snapchat filter ass type adjustments like a 'beautify meter' and it induces murderous rage in me
samsung i dont want your fraudulent moon forced upon me. i want MY moon, seen with flawed eyes and captured with flawed equipment in all its messy glory
An interesting bit I gleamed while reading comments related to this was that this 'scene enhance' feature has a small set of objects it's trained on including like... a bunch of shit people take sentimentally important pictures of, like babies.
Something feels uniquely unhinged about a world where every picture you take of your infant child is an artificial veneer built by a neural net of an idealized baby so you can avoid having artifacting or blurry pixels in your cherished memories
