Been seeing more and more galleries on sites like DeviantArt where people are posting images generated with stuff like NovelAI. Some of it does look good at first glance but when you really sit down and look at it in greater detail you can pick out all the flaws. A sort of artificial feeling to the whole thing. Reused poses. Body shapes that're so exact they're basically cookie-cutter. It's soulless.

AI-generated images can be incredible things. A wonderful tool for reference, for visualizing ideas, or just to see something impossible. But it shouldn't be used as a total replacement for a human artist. Especially since the AI needs to use human-created sources to learn from and create with.

I guess I don't have a problem with galleries of AI-generated art as long as it's disclosed that it was AI-generated.
