I'm on call this week, meaning I had to head in early to do ten minutes worth of maintenance. So after I was done, I went for a very cool and breezy ride.
I spent my Saturday taking a ride down the local biking/walking path that spans between two towns, roughly six miles. The Motocompacto has a 12 mile range and I'm certain I wore the battery down almost all the way; it was at one bar when I got back to my car.
The big takeaway: The seat's too damn small and too uncomfortable for a ten-or-so mile ride. Beyond that, this was fun. I got stopped by an old guy on an electric recumbent trike who asked a bunch of questions about it, and I caused a bunch of five-years-olds to loose their shit when I rolled by them. Riding this is giving me the idea of getting an electric motorcycle for my first "big boy" bike, because riding this in silence along the trail, listening to the local wildlife and the river rolling by was serene. Good Saturday.
