I've been itching to ride for a couple weeks now (The fucking heat is going to kill me...) and when I noticed that the local library has in season two of "Star Trek Strange New Worlds" (AKA, the one with the live action "Lower Decks" crossover) I dragged the sidecar rig out for a ride into town. Time for live-action Boimler and Mariner.

Sidenote: The new Lithium Ion battery I bought is the best $120-or-so I've spent on this thing. It started up on the first crank. I'm going to get another one to put in the Navi.

I'm working on the sidecar rig and spent yesterday changing the oil in 100 degree heat, which was heaps of fun. I've also discovered the battery will not hold a charge anymore and one of the teal body panels -- which is impossible to find -- has a crack in it for some reason, so I will be spending close to $200 to get this all buttoned up so yaaaaay...

I took today off to go the funeral of an elder co-worker (A guy I wound up replacing, who I discovered was also a motorcyclist at the reception) and afterward decided to go for a ride. Really, two rides.

There's a new coffee shop in my hometown so I decided to take the Motocompacto with me and after parking in the center of town rode around to my old high school before making my way to the coffee shop for whatever they had on the menu. (A strawberry lemonade.)

Upon getting home, I pulled the Z125 sidecar rig out and went for a ride since the weather is going to be awful this weekend and made a trip a couple miles away to... the rural cemetery on a dirt road.

Yeah, I know it's weird to go to a cemetery for fun after attending a co-worker's funeral. Have a picture of Dusty.
