it does amuse me that most uses of sed don't use anything but the s command. like, there's an entire 70s teletype text editor in there ripe for misuse.

the beautiful thing about linux is that i have to look up the commands for everything every time i use it. i can have a cool lil printout of commands and their meanings near the com puter and feel like a boomer even when i do cool zoomer things like 'run cohost bot'
i dont remember where i saw or heard it but the phrase visual grep is good. like, "rob pike is wrong about syntax highlighting, because it allows you to visually grep for different symbol types"
