On this day in 1777, the release candidate that would become United States v1.0 was pushed to staging. It was released in March of the following year, and officially deprecated twelve years later. There have been no major version bumps since then, we're currently on USAv2.27.
Sometimes it turns out you actually do just need to tear everything down and start it all over from scratch.
