Each move is a d6 roll with {King, Queen, Knight, Bishop, Rook, Pawn}.
Piece moves in accordance with rolled chess moveset.
Assignment lasts the entire game, or until a piece reaches the opposite rank ("king" me, etc.) The act of "kinging" is a reroll.
Checkers can be used. One may desire to keep chess pieces or tokens on hand to mark, but keep in mind that each piece may be encountered many more times than a typical chess game. Ten kings is uncommon but possible.
Rules as Chess.
