the swift programming language is my fault to some degree. mostly here to see dogs, shitpost, fix old computers, and/or talk about math and weird computer programming things. for effortposts check the #longpost pinned tag. asks are open.

Aaaaah that's just as cute if not cuter! Also I really really like the way you've done the buttons / links / hover effects. I always try to go for "simple" old-school styles and yet somehow end up making stuff that feels really ugly (imo, maybe I'm being hard on myself) whereas this is so clean and so gorgeous!

haha yeah, the hover styles are pretty in-your-face, but 1bit lends itself to contrast.

i bet you're being hard on yourself :) i find that when doing these retro UIs getting the right colors really helps me out. i spent a while dialing in 2bit-ui's default colors by hand.

the default theme for 1bit-ui is 1bit Monitor Glow which is someone else's palette for pixel art. it's nice, but a bit too harsh. i wanted to showcase the softer side of retro UIs with 2bit by default :D
