The Poppy Grower

I was commissioned to make a game for No Quarter this year!

The Poppy Grower is a tool-assisted solo journaling game about an agricultural worker growing poppies on an asteroid, played in a proprietary fantasy OS. It's a weird one. Grateful to have been able to work on it.

It's opening this Friday at NYU Game Center in Brooklyn, and if you're in New York I hope you'll consider coming.

I’m sure you have enough on your plate this weekend between No Quarter and S4AD, but will this eventually be online somewhere, or does the No Quarter thing complicate that?

it will be online in some version! but i'm going to spend some time with the game first and make some changes for an online release

Makes sense! I only got to play a few days of it and then cycled out with other folks, looking forward to sitting down with it later.

(Playing the word guessing game with five people giving me words over my shoulder was a highlight of the show for me. We did eventually win!)
