I saw The Ring in theaters and when I got home I was too afraid to normally fall asleep. So I stayed up all night watching tv and finally passed out, when I woke up I must’ve rolled over onto the remote while I was sleeping because the TV screen was all white snow. I was convinced for a split second I was going to die
When machine learning visual tools were just starting to become mainstream, there was one that could slightly alter the pixels of each frame of video to try to make them look more like the input image. On this particular video, it tries to turn Bob Ross into various creatures.
The unnaturally rainbowed colors, the unnerving ungulation as frames go by, and the surprising number of eyes that seem to show up and disappear makes for some eldritch horror.
