In American horror movies you frequently see the trope of the protagonist getting trapped in the horror movie situation due to a car not starting or losing the car keys.
This could only happen in car-infested America. In a dense walkable neighborhood, you could simply walk away from any kind of horror movie situation you find yourself in.
if I was under siege by ghouls or perhaps a poltergeist I would simply walk down to the shops and purchase a sandwich
you might think that its impossible to have phonelines that can't be cut or rendered useless by a ghoul or a ghost. in fact, the federal government made this type of uncuttable phoneline zoning illegal in the 1950s - leading to an america that can never call anyone to help, meanywhile any european--
ever since i moved from fake london, my entire family and i have been the final girl. gone are the days where only one of us would survive a jason - as we would when trapped in american suburbia.
