Facebook offered me $10 if I would make a "reel" (their bootleg tiktok thing for instagram) using one of their 2022 recap templates. So I did it. I'm not linking it here because who cares, they're going to give me the $10 even if it gets zero views. Actually I probably have to meet some payment threshold so I'll probably never see that money. Damn it.
I'm continually blown away by the amount of money they seem to be spending by paying Instagram users to use that shitty tiktok knockoff. Like I don't have very many followers and once a month I get a pop-up saying GET $1000 FOR POSTING REELS!!!!! The catch is that you only get that money if the videos blow up and get hella views. I mean the other catch is that you have to use Instagram reels, I guess. Either way, it just seems nuts. They ruined their product chasing after tiktok and now they have to pay people in a sad attempt to get it to catch on.
