Hi, we're Jennifer! And Aster! Feel free to refer to us with either name, or both.

We're the co-editor/co-host of Scanline Media and its various podcasts, but we also host Novel Not New: A True End Podcast at readinggames.online! Feel free to ask us anything, as long as you're polite about it.

Been playing through Minish Cap for the first time and jeez, this is a delightful little game! Aside from Mario Kart and Pokémon, it’s funny how our experience with the Game Boy Advance while it was the hot new thing mostly revolved around licensed garbage like Tom and Jerry (being at an age when our parents still bought all our games probably had something to do with it).

It’s only in recent years that we’ve branched out and went after The Classics, like playing through Metroid Fusion and Aria of Sorrow a year or two ago. And it’s helped us realize that we’ve underestimated the Advance for far too long! It’s no DS, and we struggled to play without proper backlighting for the longest time. But when you’re playing something other than shovelware, it’s a surprisingly capable handheld.
