PSA: you can get Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown running on Steam Deck, even though it’s not available on the Steam store. Here’s how:
- Buy the game on Epic Games Store
- Follow a guide (like this one https://www.theverge.com/23132688/steam-deck-epic-games-store-gog-origin-how-to) to install Heroic Games Launcher on your Steam Deck
- Link your Epic account, then install The Lost Crown through Heroic.
- If you click the three dots in the upper right corner of the game’s box art, you can select “Add to Steam” to add the game to your proper Steam Deck interface.
Now you should be good to go! But here are a few notes:
-We’d recommend linking your Ubisoft Connect account with your Epic Games account via PC first. That way, you won’t have to enter any login information when you boot it up on the Steam Deck for the first time!
-You can move cloud saves between Steam Deck and PC (or any of the other platforms with the game), but you must manually select the save file and hit “Upload to Cloud” via the in-game save select menu every time you’re done with a session. You can only keep one save in the cloud at any time, so you’ll want to keep that in mind as you’re swapping between devices.
