Hi, we're Jennifer! And Aster! Feel free to refer to us with either name, or both.

Roberta and Ken Williams released a new game today, a remake of 1976's Colossal Cave Adventure. And hey, it looks incredibly rough around the edges, aside from being an unflinching 3D recreation of an influential text adventure. But once we heard about them leaving in RNG dwarves that can potentially kill you instantly with a thrown knife, all we could think was "We'll probably never play this, but we're so happy that it exists."

bracing for the circa-2014-indie story "reveal" that beneath the sword and sorcery aesthetic, this whole vast system of caverns really is about Will Crowther's attempts to connect with and entertain his daughters, after his divorce from the spouse he'd spent years mapping the real life Mammoth and Flint Ridge cave networks with.

(this would honestly be dope. i would make/play it.)
