As Twitter burns, we have to remind ourselves that instead of maintaining presences on Twitter, Cohost, Mastodon, Tumblr, etc., it will be far healthier if we stick with Twitter (for now) and Cohost, and accept that we can't maintain perfect contact with folks who choose other social media platforms instead. We currently follow 1,267 accounts on Twitter, and even if we devoted ourselves to it, it's simply infeasible to follow every single one of those people wherever they land. It's a bummer, but it's reality.
