Silver Star Japan, the decades-old Japanese studio that specialises in digital adaptations of shogi and other traditional board games, is stepping out of their wheelhouse with Rasen Reijoh Spiral Ojousama: Chohatsu no Makina, a "vertical roll, horizontal scroll" action game due out on Switch in November, starring an ojousama who gains the ability to attack and traverse environments using her ridiculous drill hair as a grapple. (Their tagline even plays on the fact that the game has 0% shogi content.)
They've yet to release a trailer but there is a little clip embedded as the background of their website, so take a look (they 403'd it while I was writing... wait nvm I had it tabbed), or make do with these screenshots:
This comes out today—I'll be sitting it out for the time being but I hope somebody's paying attention, and that Silver Star's producing something worth noticing
