I've been in touch recently with Her-Saki who, for the last few years, has been chipping away at translating two of Leaf's classic visual novels, Shizuku and ToHeart. Both of them are some of the most significant and influential Japanese visual novels of the 1990s and, in my opinion, it is an utter crime that they're still not available to play in English.
We need editors right now! A large chunk of the text in both games is already translated, but still needs passes to improve how they read, fix typos, etc.
If you've got a good grasp on the English language/writing, especially if you're familiar with some Japanese, please join the Discord and get started!
Let us finally bring these incredible games to the English-speaking world! Do it for Multi...
Wow uh, god damn, this signal-boost worked better than I expected, we ended up getting SEVERAL people on board as editors. 🥴
ToHeart English translation hype is real!!!!!!!!!!
Even with my brief time playing ToHeart through Textractor+Translation Aggregator, struggling to understand Japanese, and EVEN THOUGH I don't usually feel much for the childhood best friend character archetypes, I STILL felt utterly smitten by Akari. She truly felt like someone I knew since we were like 5 years old and now we're in high school and developing feelings for each other. Unreal. Is western civilization ready for this?
