I've been fighting one of the worst Art Lows I think I have dealt with in a long, line time.
Recently, I've been meticulously studying soft shading styles from a few of my favorite late 90s/early 00s visual novels (but mostly Comic Party) and trying to replicate them to a level I'm happy with, but it feels like an impossible challenge. Just today I spent about six hours non-stop giving it my best Adderall shot, undistracted, laser-focused in, mind clear, and yet every attempt came out horribly.
I've been crying entirely too much over this since yesterday and feel utterly frustrated and demoralized, yet I refuse to give up. I want to express this special feeling I get from that style of art, I don't want to compromise, but this is a difficult and challenging path I have picked for myself. I feel so tired... and beaten down...
Very ambitious style to try and mimic, yeah... even if I'm just aiming for a simpler version of it...
