I got a nail file that I've been using to sharpen my claws instead of the nail clippers (which I only used for that twice). I sharpen them once a week. I'm getting a little better at it I think.
An unexpected side effect is that my nails now seems to curve downward slightly at the tips, making them more like real claws.
They're a little bit inconvenient for doing normal finger things, but I expected that. The tips of my thumbnails have cracked, and the right one chipped off a little. I assume the cracking is because I tend to use my thumbnails for doing things, and now it's too much stress on the narrow tips. I need to look I to ways of making them stronger somehow.
Also I have accidentally scratched my palm twice >.>
At least I know they're sharp enough to be used against someone if I need to
