The EAC payload being dropped without warning and without discussion was what scared me off the platform entirely. Not because of the mods, but because of the way that software effectively opens vulnerabilities. It's admirable the way the VRC devs did step up to make features that compensated for the lost mods, but it still feels almost scary to me the way people effectively let such a hypervisor level piece of software install without even a second thought.
Then again, no one seems to care, no one seems to have an issue, and no one seems to have had a negative impact as a consequence of it? What I'm learning from the responses to my last few posts is that Yes, EAC is nasty software no one should trust, but everyone should trust it because we shouldn't trust other software and we use it anyway.
I don't know! I'm not making much sense, and I miss being able to use my VR stuff.
I totally agree with you, though. VRC is still "the platform". And likely will be for the foreseeable future.
Sorry to go on and on about this Again - but I very much appreciate your insight and your thoughts <3
