So found out temperature inside shouldn’t legally be more than 86 degrees with a swamp cooler so landlord has been doing an illegality to us this whole time I’m fine I feel fine it’s currently 89 degrees in my house and I’m fine

Emergency maintenance line didn’t call back ever so we’re spending the night at indigo’s mom’s house lol

@YuushaRuby

So a different maintenance guy came and informed us that the cooler was absolutely fucked up with mineral deposits which landlords in Tucson legally need to keep cooling units clean of so that means last time the two other chuckle fucks saw that and decided to not do anything about it lol lmao!!! Thanks to this guy for actually cleaning the unit it already feels better in here

YuushaRuby
@YuushaRuby

It’s still 85 degrees in here which is technically legal which is technically very evil

Edit; nvm I hadn’t checked since I woke up from my nap

@YuushaRuby

Can anyone help me recoup the costs of this it was $70 lol
I was desperate and walked down to ACE to get it lmao
Not really an emergency financial situation at the moment but it wasn’t really money I should’ve spent! As you know I got fired two days ago

i think you could reasonably take legal action here, whether with a lawyer or local tenant group, not necessarily combative immediately but just "hey you're obliged to regulate the temperature, please do this immediately" unfortunately, even starting any legal action is such a drain. there's a bunch of stuff I could ping my landlord for but it's so exhausting to even start the process. best of luck!
