just went to a free performance of a shakespeare comedy in a park. had a great time, i was like 20 mins late and didn't understand shit rly but thats okay
and what im feeling now is, how great is it, that theres this huge catalog of good plays that are completely free to perform. nobody owns them, they belong to everyone! you don't have to pay someone money for the privilege of performing it.
and that means that we get to have productions of it on summer evenings in parks, where anyone can just show up for free. you can go sit on a picnic blanket watching a funny play without anyone telling you you can't be there unless you pay money or show up at a certain time.
theres so many nice things about plays outside, too. its in the open breeze so you dont have to worry about getting sick, and you get to breathe fresh air while watching!! and you can just show up or leave at any time, it feels rly accessible for adhd in that way. and if you're a little autism creature who is skittish around humans, you can just set up your blanket far away from the rest of the audience! and you can be barefoot and sit on a cozy blanket with a good texture and there's plants and bugs and mushrooms around you and you can bring water or a snack and eat it!!
i just love this?????
