just updated my gofundme with the following delightful tale:
it's the "You've Got To Be Kidding Me" update! Started work today, took about eight hours to dig (by hand??? no idea what that's about) the initial pit... and then I was informed that the pit is in the wrong place. They located it wrong, and it turns out the damaged pipe runs directly beneath our neighbor's fence. Now they have to come out and survey again, then get permission from the neighbors to dig on their property, and spend another day digging another hole. I have no idea what this is going to do to the estimate, but I suspect that it's going to run over my available funds. Will update once I know. Boy howdy, homeownership.
