🎸 Okay, so since the full extent of our ability to use HTML (Or most similar stuff) at most extends to stuff like changing text/background colors and copypasting in the Bee Movie script not much more, we wanted some advice on our choices in terms of making a quick and simple website.

Basically, what we want/need is something with three pages with quite basic functions: One page as a general link directory to everywhere else, one page we can use to store information about our system and us headmates, and one page to drop a bunch of links to other cool people/websites. It will most likely, unless something unexpected happens, be at most sporadically updated once everything is up and running, mostly just to update information within those three listed categories.

Right now the main two options we're looking at are Carrd and Neocities. The former would be significantly easier for us to learn and set up quickly (As we preferably want it done in time to add it to our page here), although with less customization if we want any down the road. Getting right into Neocities feels like staring down a mountain, but might be better long-term if we want more functions or better customization.

What should we do? Right now we're kinda leaning in the direction of learning Carrd as our emergency fix right now and possibly going for something more robust/independent when we have more time and energy to learn, but is this a good idea? We are introduced to HTML as a language, as mentioned, but our knowledge there is rusted enough to be a different programming language 😅

Carrd is definitely easier to get something good looking out of. The way subpages works isn't something we've figured out yet, and feels kind of jank to us—though the latter may be because of the former. HTML page linking feels intuitive to us, I guess from all the half-finished furry TF twine stories we've written—we have no formal HTML training, just what we've scrounged from Twine and Cohost.

All that said, I think Carrd is definitely the easy option; and it wouldn't be much work to keep it up to date even if you did go for Neocities in future.
