here's when i found out that enemy dwarf ai is just as silly as civilian dwarf ai. i built my base "Knifemuted" behind a river with a retractable bridge and all the works, and a siege arrived. the enemies were stuck at the other side of the moat for most of it until i fucked up the pathing somehow and several dwarves ran STRAIGHT out the gate into the water and the invaders followed them right in. everybody drowned and the invasion ended.
here are the two fucking buffoon invaders left over who kept trying to swim up a flowing channel i dug out even though they could have just walked the other way and climbed out.
