i started writing this song a few months after a break-up, when i was crossing the street & found myself with the idly wistful intrusive thought "if i got hit by a car & ended up in the hospital that would totally be fair game to text my ex about even though we haven't talked in a while"... which is obviously a pretty extreme way of internally expressing the (scary, i guess???) feeling of "i miss talking to this person & wish we could reconnect". it got me thinking about the ways i crave exaggerated external circumstances that are completely out of my control to bypass the vulnerability of having wants or needs & how i guess maybe it might theoretically be possible to let your knowledge of what your priorities would be at the end of the world dictate how you live in it now

it would be really cool if you listened to it! if you like it, i have so many. all my Official Releases are on various streaming sites but also can be acquired (for free/pwyc/pwyw 🤷) on bandcamp. feel free to follow @peopleyoumeetoutsideofbars if you want to see me posting abt this kind of work n stuff. additionally, i want to try & be more active abt this: if you are also a musician or sounds person & want to make music or sounds with me, i would really love to do that. i would love to put my lyrics & voice into different genres & i would love to co-write like a weird musical or concept album & i would love to just see what happens if we make something together. i also have an experimental noises & poetry project called piloting the animal if you're looking for a slightly different vibe (also on cohost at @pilotingtheanimal) i'm down to do collabz somehow in that way as well. ok thanks. i find it really difficult to connect with other artists on Modern Internet & i would really like to do more of it bc i miss it terribly. & listen to this song i wrote i guess thanks
