dreamt my roommates and i went to some quaint arts supply store close to a large funeral home and graveyard. this part of the dream was normal. it was foggy, and the store had a guest book, but i messed up signing my own name, so i crossed it out.
i didn't get to look around before we left. i'd apparently struggled with the guest book for long enough. the dream shifts and i'm back there later. now, the funeral home and the shop are in the same building, which has gotten larger. the place is busy now. i'm there alone. i step in, and it is no longer an art supply store. they just kinda sell junk.
i look around. i find an elevator. it is small. like, barely fits me inside small. the sign inside says i can get to other departments with it, but doesn't tell them to me. the door closes and an automated voice starts to tell me how to use the elevator, which only has one button. there is a window on the opposite side of the door. a hispanic woman with long black hair taps it and asks me something. i can't hear her. i mouth the words "i dunno, elevator tutorial?"
it starts going down. the bricks of the elevator shaft thru the window get mossy and grimy, but clear up as i get to the lower level, probably 15 feet underground. i step out. i look behind me. my mom stepped out too. we're in a big office room, with cubicles. people in suits are at them, on computers, on phones, etc. the room is made out of the same stainless steel material as the elevator, and it looks strange. i literally tell my mom "kinda reminds me of the matrix..."
we sit down at a cafeteria table on the far side of the room and my mom orders food. after about 5 seconds, we get it. they were some of those "gourmet" burgers where the patty looks more like a sphere than a patty. i take a bite. the dream fades...
a menu asks what difficulty i would like. i choose "normal." i am outside the large building again. it is no longer part of the city, and is by itself in some sort of woods, condemned. there is nobody here except for me. "i" walk into frame. i am some sort of 7 foot tall bear woman. i walk hesitantly towards the building, and open the door. a part of the structure has crumbled, but a lot of the junk inside still remains. i look around, and try to find... something.
after a while, my POV shifts from "me" to a first person perspective of... something watching "me" from a tower, through the crumbled roof. "i" look at my hands. they are sickly pale, and my bony fingers sharpened into claws at the end. i lunge at the bear woman, and she turns around.
i wake up.
