i do art, cinematics, animation, and programming. i have worked on several video games.

you can drop art suggestions in the ol ask box

also:

i wrote a jQuery script to zoom in pictures so they don't have to be fuckin huge and make you scroll forever! i wrote a shortcode that lets me add all that bullshit to individual pages without copy/pasting a ton of crap!!!

portfolio redo... it's so real. it's so close. don't remind me i have to edit videos for the cinematics and animation stuff, i don't want to.

it's a good thing I'm doing this because the existing portfolio broke for ???? reasons. I don't know. whatever.

personal site also has had some progress, mocked up some designs I'm happy enough with, and kinda got a CMS to work but can't port that shit out of the starter I was using into my main project in a functional way? hrrmmm. the docs on the plugin are pretty out of date, so that doesn't help fucking anything. not gonna lie, a little nervous about how many old and abandoned things I've run into on this whole adventure, and hoping whatever final shit I choose doesn't go under in two years 😬

well. anyways. progress is good and seeing Results has made my brain very happy.

today's little thing that should be easy to do, but isn't for no good fucking reason:

wanna change .bat files to default open in Terminal and not cmd.exe

(Terminal is hidden behind Windows permissions that I started to look into changing and then realized i was sidetracked. but it has the nice tabs!!!)

thank you for listening, stay tuned for what I'm sure will be a rerun of the last Little Thing That Isn't Easy To Do For No Good Fucking Reason: can't set Windows' handwriting input panel to open with a key press

my attempts to revive my personal site have swerved into remaking my portfolio. lmao. this is TECHNICALLY a distraction, but effectively it's me learning how eleventy works, and I think I'm gettin the hang of it. Hoping that making this site with a lot less data to juggle (no individual pages for pieces, no "sort by tag" I'm hoping to have in the final, etc,) just a small set of long pages of text and images.

Got a lot of stuff on there, gonna work on learning the Image library next because fuuuuuuuck manually making thumbnails. Did that for long enough in my youth lol, and always hated it. And I would like to be polite to mobile users and not force them to always load a fullsize image scaled down with CSS

after that.... adding a CMS to this shit!! feelin good, feelin confident.

so today I did a bunch of dicking around. got a git server goin on my lil ubuntu box, so bouncing code shit back and forth between desktop and laptop is more a thing. I can write websites in bed!

... do i know what the fuck I'm doing with this website yet? well. no. i tried some things and they were very hard!!!!! the idea of a headless CMS and static site is appealing but we'll see if I have the fortitude to make it fuckin work lmao
