we're furries, we're a fandom entirely built on community and peer-to-peer-ness, we don't have a central locus like an single intellectual property, we have what we are and what we make and what we share, and AI art tramples all over that, by stealing what we make in a way that devalues those that make it

I'm gonna be real and candid here, some of my favorite artists are ones that would probably be considered """bad""", but they learned how to draw because they have extremely niche kink scenarios that they wanted to see realized and not only do I respect that immensely, it kinda makes it more enjoyable imo. You're gonna get so much better results by putting in the effort and it's going to feel so much better. And it doesn't have to be traditional art either! Maybe 3d models are easier for you to manipulate to fulfill your ideas, you can get tons of them to try out and try poking around with, especially if you ask other members of the craft for advice. But anything you intentionally composite is going to better fulfill your ideas than something spat out by plagiarism-bot 3.5.
