half the reason we have all these nostalgia cashgrab legacy sequel movies is because audiences dont know how to appreciate something until decades after they hated on it. for example if yall had enjoyed ghostbusters 2 when it was out and it had been allowed to run its natural course of sequels in its own era we wouldnt have shit like afterlife with the literal cgi ghost of egon spengler. we would have more movies with alive egon spengler.
