i had a whole thing written but on second read decided i didn’t like it. i’m often bad at talking about the things i like. i liked this movie A Lot. it is hard for me to describe why in a way that isn’t bland. 

it isn’t just “Revue Starlight but with a larger budget,” it is serious about being its own thing, standing as a companion piece and fitting continuation, building on the themes of the original series while exploring new ground, providing even more fitting spectacle as the stage. every aspect of this movie comes together near flawlessly to tell the very specific story it is trying to tell.

it all works! all of it! damn! what a fuckin film!

also: love when girls are gay. personally think that’s great. big fan.
