my work setup already has two monitors (a 34" ultrawide and my laptop on a stand) but i need More. wonder if there's a way to get an ipad mount in this mess so i can use sidecar (i don't want to buy more monitors, i just want to have more monitors)

If your work style would benefit from a completely separate second computer you could also add another laptop you might already have and share the keyboard and mouse with Synergy. Apparently it has gone commercial since I last used it but I vaguely recall someone forked the last freely licensed version
oh i've already got two computers, and two separate desks (i am Very Careful about not using Work Desk for things that aren't work to avoid destroying my brain's already limited sense of work-life balance). i just want more monitors
if you don't find anything else you could still use an old laptop or something and install barrier (a synergy fork) on that
(also i dont know how people can survive without a 34" ultrawide, big monitors are fucking awesome)
my issue is less "where do i get monitors" (i've got a couple old spares sitting around) it's "where do i mount these monitors." my desk is not very large
this is the largest desk that will fit 😔 my room is like 90% inconveniently placed doorways and windows
vertical monitor is so cool i just know i would be unproductive at 2 x the speed if i had one
I got a mount for my second monitor that lets me easily rotate it, plus a shortcut in the task bar to rotate the output with one click, so I can use it horizontally for videos or audio recording and vertically for documents and web pages, and let me tell you........... I basically always forget about that and just use it horizontally lol.
