wait hold on am i interpreting correctly that the stream deck, the button box made by a company that also has a convoluted Modular Universal Mounting Solution, doesn't have any native mounting options beyond "put it on your desk" or "double-sided tape it to something"? not even a 1/4" mount? fucking nothing?

likely their most popular product, one with very little actual competition, and it's not even compatible with their Mounting Ecosystem. absolutely bonkers

>.> Yes, this is basically the case. As someone who, uh, 3D-printed a stand for hers that she uses as a button-box for flight sim purposes. There are competitors, though, for what it's worth, I think. They're not necessarily cheaper, which doesn't help :P

But you could also for example pick up one of Leo Bodnar's boards and then you could make your own, with proper toggle switches that go click and are terribly satisfying~

yeah i keep thinking about going the Build My Own route but my brain is such that thinking about it becomes overwhelming. maybe someday i will get over my shit on this; my prize of "having a button box" is worth it

Yes. Yes >.> I bought my Bodnar box almost ten years ago and it has been part of several different "oh no my brain says it's time to take everything apart and put it back together completely differently" projects but the Elgato stuff does work quite well!

And if you need your brain to spin frantically and only dubiously productively there is always "making icons for Streamdeck," I hear from... from a friend... yes. That's the ticket.

Good luck! It is worth it :3
